REDSTONE. ENGLAND

EXT. REDSTONE MANOR, REDSTONE – NIGHT

(Oliver 17, Cyril 16, Joseph 15, Donald Redstone 57)

Screams are heard from inside the Manor House that overlooks REDSTONE VILLAGE. Cries of a child – Teens – echo around the wooded area before a door opens and three young men in their late teens emerge from inside and dash into the darkness together.

From the open door an old man appears wielding a long sword in the air. He is furious.

DONALD REDSTONE

I will not tolerate this disobedience! Get back into this house…NOW!

OLIVER, CYRIL and JOSEPH seek cover in a nearby ditch where they can see their FATHER standing at the door of the house staring out into the darkness.

DONALD REDSTONE (CONT’D)

All I ever did for you was for your own good…BOYS! CYRIL! JOSEPH! OLIVER! Where the hell are you?

The three young boys watch their Father.

CYRIL REDSTONE

(whispers quietly)

I am never going back there

JOSEPH REDSTONE

Me neither, I’m never going to come home…What about you Oliver?

Both JOSEPH and CYRIL turn around to see that their older Brother had gone. They panic and start running away from the ditch, away from the house even further.

FADE TO BLACK.

FADE IN:

INT. THE ROSE AND CROWN PUB. REDSTONE – NIGHT

(Oliver Redstone, Cyril Redstone, Joseph Redstone)

The three Brothers enter THE ROSE AND CROWN PUB.

Immediately met with a packed building, the three find it difficult to get through to the bar. Everyone in the PUB is merry and drunk, laughing, falling over.

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO CYRIL)

Go and get a table with Joseph, I’ll get the drinks and find out if there’s a boat leaving tonight.

CYRIL REDSTONE (TO OLIVER)

Do you think that’s wise, Brother?

All three Brothers stop still and stand together just a couple of feet away from the BAR.

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO BOTH)

The only way that we can see this whole thing through, is to get on a boat – Tonight – And leave Redstone…

JOSEPH REDSTONE (TO BOTH)

But aren’t we just teaching him a lesson? Father, I mean? Staying out of the house and drinking Ale, it seems the best thing to do before going home!

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO BOTH)

No. We sit down, drink Ale and then get a Captain to get us out of here…For good!

CYRIL and JOSEPH look at one another puzzled.

OLIVER REDSTONE (CONT’D)

I know this is all strange to you both, but we have to leave here, if we go back home then Father will do more than punish us this time. Remember what he did to Mother? (walks away to the BAR)

CYRIL REDSTONE (TO JOSEPH)

He’ll change his mind after a drink, won’t he, Joseph?

JOSEPH just looks silently at CYRIL. The two Brother’s then walk through the crowded pub into the corner before sitting down at an empty table to wait for OLIVER.

MATCH CUT TO:

INT. THE ROSE AND CROWN PUB. REDSTONE – NIGHT

(Oliver Redstone, Cyril Redstone, Joseph Redstone, Barman, Captain Monty Whistler, Cassandra Beecham, Miles Longford)

The three Redstone Boys are sat at a table in the far corner of the PUB. Around them Beggars, Rustlers, Con-men and other Criminal type sit, stand, lay drinking, puking, laughing and boasting.

JOSEPH REDSTONE (TO OLIVER)

This is not a good place to be right now, Brother!

OLIVER raises a single hand as a large shaped tall man sits himself down in a spare seat next to OLIVER.

CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER (TO ALL)

I hear you’re looking for a ship to take you out of Redstone? (looks around and into all three boys’ faces).

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO WHISTLER)

That’s right, do you know where there is such a ship, and how we may provide payment for traveling as passenger’s, Sir?

CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER (TO ALL)

(laughs out loudly)

The ship is anchored off the coast a mile past the lighthouse, as for payment of travel, the only thing waiting for you at its destination is death!

CYRIL REDSTONE

(gasps)

DEATH!

CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER

That’s right, death! My ship is going to the Front Lines of a bitter raging war, Boys, and by the looks of you three…You won’t make five minutes.

OLIVER was determined.

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO WHISTLER)

(confident)

EXCUSE ME! I believe the Gentleman has us confused with some other, less gallant and brave men passing through here. Maybe we should address him officially, I am Oliver Redstone and these (points) are my Brother’s, Cyril and Joseph Redstone. You may have heard of our BASTARD Father!

CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER

Ah, so it’s straight to the chase, is it Oliver Redstone? You must be the spokesman of these other two young souls, are you?

OLIVER’s heart is pounding, but he keeps his composure together to answer.

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO WHISTLER)

Yes, yes I am.

CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER (TO OLIVER)

Alright then. My ship leaves at Midnight, follow the path past the Lighthouse…

CYRIL REDSTONE

We already know the way…We used to hang around there when the…

CAPTAIN WHISTLER and the two other REDSTONE Brother’s stare silently at CYRIL. He feels uncomfortable and falls quiet.

CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER (TO ALL)

The ship will leave, with, or without you, so be on time. It’ll be two weeks sail, but don’t worry, when all hands are on deck, all I expect from my Crew is hard work to get us there…

CYRIL REDSTONE (TO WHISTLER)

When you say “There”, where exactly is “There”? You said the Front Lines…

CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER (CYRIL)

Cormadryl, Son! We’re going to the Front Line in Cormadryl (laughs).

All three Brother’s look at one another in turn as if in disbelief of not realizing the truths of conflict beyond REDSTONE.

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO WHISTLER)

We’re all agreed, we will meet your ship at Midnight, Captain…?

CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER (TO ALL)

Whistler. Captain Monty Whistler, at your service Boys. I’ll see you at Midnight?

CAPTAIN WHISTLER stands up and leaves the three Boys alone at the table while he staggers off into the crowd and out of sight.

CYRIL REDSTONE (TO OLIVER)

Are you serious?

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO BOTH)

Don’t worry about it, I have a sure means of teaching our Father a lesson he will never forget.

FADE TO BLACK.

FADE IN:

REDSTONE HARBOR

EXT. REDSTONE HARBOR OFFICE. REDSTONE – NIGHT

(Captain Monty Whistler, Dale Parkins)

CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER has met up with a short, well-dressed man who is introduced to him as Dale Parkins – CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER, however, knew him as FABIAN MILLER-JONES – The DEVIL incarnate.

The two stand out of sight ready to exchange words.

CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER (TO DALE)

The Ship sails at Midnight, what do you need me to do?

DALE PARKINS

Just make sure the Cargo (referring to The REDSTONE BOYS) are on that ship when you set sail, Captain Whistler. My client has paid a lot of money for this to happen…

CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER

Ah, yes, about that payment!

DALE PARKINS

(angry)

You will get the rest of the payment as soon as you dock in Cormadryl, not any time before, do you understand? (glares at WHISTLER) Well, DO YOU?

CAPTAIN WHISTLER nods.

CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER

I don’t normally do this with…You know? It’s a one off partnership, I just need to know that everything is ready on your end to reassure my Crew, that’s all, Mr. Parkins.

DALE PARKINS

In that case, tell your Crew that there is an additional thousand in it, if they can get the Cargo to the rendezvous point one day early. It doesn’t matter if you don’t, but if you do, they can drown their guilt in a fountain of Rum and Ale, can’t they? (smiles dryly).

DALE PARKINS walks away from CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER in the direction of the town, but on watching him for a few moments, WHISTLER notices him boarding a small rowing boat.

CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER (TO HIMSELF)

Now where would you be off to I wonder?

WHISTLER watches DALE PARKINS disappear into the night.

FADE TO BLACK.

FADE IN:

EXT. REDSTONE LIGHTHOUSE BAY. REDSTONE – NIGHT

(The Redstone Brother’s, Captain Monty Whistler, Ensign Miller, Ensign Carter)

All three REDSTONE Brothers have arrived fifteen minutes early at the rendezvous point, as instructed by CAPTAIN WHISTLER.

CAPTAIN WHISTLER and his Oarsmen arrive at the Bay in a long boat, disembark and greet the three young men.

CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER

Boys, these men are Stevens and Carter, they will take us to the Ship. I do need to ask one thing of you Boy’s, however, and that is, what makes you so sure that where we’re going isn’t the same or worse, than what your trying to leave behind here?

OLIVER steps forward and turns to his Brother.

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO WHISTLER)

(cold voice)

When you see your Mother being bludgeoned to death, right in front of your eyes, and you can’t do anything to stop it! Captain Whistler, my Brother’s and I, we are going to face death, not wait around for it to take us in our sleep. (nods to his Brother’s) Do we still have passage, Captain?

CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER

Sure. (looks round to signal the two Ensigns to allow them onto the boat) Tell me, what’s stopping your Father from hunting me down for this?

CYRIL and JOSEPH walk on to board the small boat.

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO WHISTLER)

My Father will scour every inch of Redstone to find us, Captain, don’t worry about that. When he discovers we sought sanctuary in Cormadryl on the Front Line, which is between both you and Devil’s Grimm alone. I understand your concern, but right now, in this very moment, we are one hour further away from freedom of torment.

CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER

(chilled, daunted)

You tell that tale as though your Father was…Oh, forget it! Come on we have to set sail before the tide goes out and scuttles us.

The three REDSTONE BOYS, CAPTAIN MONTY WHISTLER and his Oarsmen set off in the long boat back to the Ship under the light of the Moon.

FADE OUT.

FADE IN:

SOMEWHERE IN THE ATLANTIC OCEAN

EXT. THE RASPUTIN CARGO SHIP – NIGHT

(Captain Monty Whistler, The Redstone Boys, Mr. Stark, Mr. Jefferson, The Ship’s Crew)

CAPTAIN WHISTLER has helped the three onto the Ship out of the long boat and onto the rope ladder.

Each in turn ascends to The Deck.

CAPTAIN WHISTLER

Man the sails, Mr. Stark, if you please? Time to get under way. Find the wind, Mr. Jefferson. (turns to THE REDSTONE BOYS). Welcome aboard The Rasputin, Boys, make yourselves at home (laughs).

THE REDSTONE BOYS look around as CAPTAIN WHISTLER walks off toward the WHEELHOUSE and disappears inside.

CYRIL REDSTONE (TO BOTH)

I don’t like this, Olly, I have a really bad feeling in my stomach!

JOSEPH REDSTONE (TO BOTH)

Two weeks on this thing! Wouldn’t it be best returning home and waiting for another time…

OLIVER becomes angry with JOSEPH.

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO JOSEPH)

(twists up his face)

YOU WILL DO WHAT I FUCKIN’ TELL YOU! Do you want to go back and be killed in your sleep, huh? Two weeks is nothing compared to the way we were treated like rodents, as if…we didn’t matter anymore!

JOSEPH REDSTONE (TO OLIVER)

I know your right, Olly, you’re always right. I just feel a little strange being away from the land, that’s all. Don’t…Don’t you feel it?

CYRIL and OLIVER look across at one another and shrug.

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO JOSEPH)

I don’t feel anything except a great weight that’s been lifted from my shoulders, which is most probably what you’re feeling, too, Brother.

OLIVER begins walking off toward the WHEELHOUSE.

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO BOTH)

(shouts)

I’ll go see the Captain and find out where our sleeping quarters are on the Ship, you two wait here, and I won’t be long.

The Rasputin sets sail.

CYRIL REDSTONE

Do you still think he’s right? About leaving home, Father, everything that we’ve built there?

JOSEPH REDSTONE

I believe he can make all of this right again, if that’s what you’re asking?

CYRIL REDSTONE

I’m not too sure, but, I will stay to see to your safety, Brother. Who knows, you may get into a tight spot of bother (smiles weakly).

The two Brother’s turn to face out toward REDSTONE BAY, where on the beaches the sight of torches, vehicle headlights and the sound of dogs could be seen and heard as THE RASPUTIN sails off into the dark.

FADE TO BLACK.

FADE IN:

NO MAN’S LAND, CORMADRYL.

Heavy fighting across the land displays exploding rocket shells, great lifts of dirt, falling soldiers from both sides – Enemies and Friendlies.

From the air planes, helicopters and unmanned Drones drop bombs, fire bullets at the ground, targets and lone standing buildings. It’s Pandemonium.

EXT. TRENCH 187. NO MAN’S LAND – MORNING

(The three Redstone Brothers, General Thompson, British Army)

It is the dawn of a new battle with the Cormadryl’s.

CYRIL, JOSEPH and OLIVER are resting against the TRENCH wall, waiting for the order to advance against the enemy.

JOSEPH is seen writing a letter.

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO JOSEPH)

A letter, Brother!

JOSEPH REDSTONE (TO OLIVER)

For when we get back home.

OLIVER nods his head while giving a strange smile.

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO BOTH)

Have you two seen it out there? (points intensely at the TRENCH LIP) We’re going to be lucky if we get ten yards down that fucking field. Three weeks ago I was so close to walking off of that Ship, but something told me, we had to leave.

JOSEPH REDSTONE (TO OLIVER)

You mean we came all of this way to get away from Father, when all along you could have been talked around to staying in Redstone? (kicks the ground up of soil) Well, thanks a lot, Olly!

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO BOTH)

I’m sorry –

CYRIL REDSTONE (TO OLIVER)

SORRY! Sorry is not enough this time Olly, damn you, Brother! Damn you to hell for bringing us here to our deaths. (tears fall from his eyes) We trusted you!

CYRIL walks away from OLIVER and JOSEPH to lean up against the wall opposite, when as soon as he places a cigarette into his mouth a loud THWACKING sound fills the air. CYRIL has been shot in the face by a SNIPER bullet from the enemy; his face has been blown clean off, while his dead, twitching body still stands in a convulsive state.

OLIVER REDSTONE

(cries out at the top of his lungs)

S-N-I-P-E-R! S-N-I-P-E-R!

Pandemonium ensues as every soldier, including THE REDSTONE BOYS, JOSEPH and OLIVER make for better cover away from the SNIPER bullets.

OLIVER and JOSEPH stop momentarily to check that they were each okay. JOSEPH glances back to CYRIL, before tightening his eyes closed and punching his chest hard.

JOSEPH REDSTONE

Olly? Do you remember when Father wanted to punish one of us for breaking his favourite Walking Cane, and I stepped up for you?

OLIVER REDSTONE

Yes, what about it?

JOSEPH REDSTONE

You told me, after I’d been punished by Father, that if there was anything I ever wanted, no matter how big or small, you would honour that. Do you remember?

OLIVER thinks. He nods.

OLIVER REDSTONE

I remember Brother, what is all of this about?

JOSEPH REDSTONE

I would like you to get us out of this…Alive! I don’t want to die, Olly, not here, not like this (runs up to OLIVER) Tell me you can get us out of here, Oliver, please?

OLIVER REDSTONE

(takes a hold of JOSEPH)

I’ll try, follow me.

OLIVER and JOSEPH run through the TRENCH corridors and Ammo Stores to load up on a few weapons and grenades, before continuing up through the edge of No Man’s Land.

Stopped by GENERAL THOMPSON, THE REDSTONE BOYS (minus one) are grabbed by two other soldiers.

GENERAL THOMPSON (TO ALL)

What the hell are you two doing here?

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO THOMPSON)

We’re from Trench 187, General, there was a Sniper, Sir…

GENERAL THOMPSON signals to the soldiers to release them both.

GENERAL THOMPSON (TO OLIVER)

We have to be careful, there are Cormadryl Traitors within our ranks. Get the weapons and go join your Company Soldiers. (salutes).

OLIVER and JOSEPH are left alone to finish filling their supply bags with the needed Ammo and Weapons. When they are finished, OLIVER waves to JOSEPH to follow him.

They run down a couple more corridors leading through several different Trenches, but all looking the same as 187. JOSEPH starts to become DIZZY, Disorientated.

JOSEPH REDSTONE

OLIVER! I don’t feel too… (he collapses and slides along the ground face first into the dirt and soil).

OLIVER rushes to his Brother’s aid, only to have a rifle butt hit him square in the face – knocking him unconscious straight away.

FADE TO BLACK.

FADE IN:

SOMEWHERE IN NO MAN’S LAND

EXT. ENEMY TRENCH. NO MAN’S LAND – AFTERNOON

(The Redstone Boys, Cormadryl Soldiers, Lieutenant Rufus Van Stoor)

OLIVER REDSTONE regains consciousness to see his Brother being taunted by a Cormadryl Officer – RUFUS VON STOOR – who is pushing the tip end of a Bernete against JOSEPH’s chest.

OLIVER REDSTONE (TO VON STOOR)

(screams)

LEAVE MY BROTHER ALONE!

LIEUTENANT VON STOOR is excited to see that OLIVER is awake and able to see what he is doing.

LIEUTENANT VON STOOR

(speaks in broken English, laughs)

You are both very lucky men!

OLIVER is confused. JOSEPH spits in the Lieutenants face.

The Lieutenant reacts by twisting his face up angrily before placing the Bernete tip onto JOSEPH’s chest, right where his heart plate is.

LIEUTENANT VON STOOR

You should not have done that!

Starting to push the blade handle with his palm, OLIVER begs him to stop.

OLIVER REDSTONE

Please! I beg you, don’t do this!

Lieutenant Von Stoor stops what he is doing and steps back from JOSEPH. OLIVER is relieved.

As soon as OLIVER gives a sigh, LIEUTENANT VON STOOR takes the Bernete and swings it through the air toward JOSEPH; the blade edge cuts through the young man’s flesh of his throat, the innards of his windpipe clearly showing, as quite quickly JOSEPH bleeds out.

OLIVER is now deeply shocked, angry, vengeful.

OLIVER REDSTONE

YOU BASTARDS! (jumps up and rushes at the LIEUTENANT) I’m going to kill you all!

A brawl breaks out, the LIEUTENANT and four soldiers present in the room at the time attempt to calm OLIVER down. OLIVER grabs a hold of one in a Neck Brace, snapping his neck without any second thought, then going on to the next.

The second German Soldier goes at OLIVER with a Rifle, but OLIVER grabs it in mid-flight, turning it onto the Soldier, pulling the trigger and blowing the Soldier back a few feet. The remaining two Soldiers attempt to surround OLIVER, but quick thinking brings him to smashing one in the face with the Rifle Butt and shooting the other in the head.

Only LIEUTENANT VON STOOR remains in the room.

LIEUTENANT VON STOOR

You have to understand…this is war! This…This is not personal, it is…!

OLIVER wastes no time in shooting the Officer in the head before making his way out of the building and into the Trenches outside. Seeing the way was clear, he makes his hasty escape.

FADE OUT.

FADE IN:

SOMEWHERE IN NO MAN’S LAND

EXT. ALLIED TRENCHES. NO MAN’S LAND – AFTERNOON

(Oliver Redstone, Major Tom Slattery, Colonel J. Pickersfield)

OLIVER REDSTONE has reached safety by escaping the enemy side of No Man’s Land, to be met by soldiers wanting to know the password. OLIVER does not know it.

OLIVER REDSTONE

You have got to be kidding me! Get me the General, now!

SOLDIER 1

What is the password?

OLIVER REDSTONE

I don’t know the password!

SOLDIER 2

You must say the password, or we will have to shoot!

OLIVER REDSTONE

(drops to his knees crying into his hands)

I don’t know the damned password!

Hearing the ruckus MAJOR TOM SLATTERY makes his way toward the Checkpoint and signals to SOLDIER 1 and 2.

MAJOR SLATTERY

What’s going on?

SOLDIER 1

There’s a soldier out there who says he doesn’t know the password.

MAJOR SLATTERY approaches the Checkpoint barbed wire and looks out into the devastation. He sees OLIVER.

MAJOR SLATTERY

You there! You, what is the password?

OLIVER looks up, not because he is willing to answer, but because he recognizes the voice calling to him.

OLIVER REDSTONE

TOM! Tom, is that you? Its Oliver…

MAJOR SLATTERY

Oliver (thinks). I’m sorry, I don’t know any Oliver’s.

OLIVER is desperate.

OLIVER REDSTONE

Oliver Redstone, my Brother’s, Joseph and Cyril, we were assigned to your unit three weeks ago under the orders of Captain Monty Whistler…Remember?

MAJOR SLATTERY thinks harder, until finally he recollects OLIVER from the Ship. SLATTERY waves to the two soldiers.

MAJOR SLATTERY

Well, what are you waiting for…Let our man inside.

OLIVER staggers up to the Checkpoint where he puts out a hand to greet and thank MAJOR SLATTERY. Almost instantly, from a place far down No Man’s Land there is a bright red and orange flash, seconds later a bang, a moment later OLIVER’s head explodes everywhere.

MAJOR SLATTERY

What the…! Sniper! Sniper!

MAJOR SLATTERY, along with the two Soldiers run to cover. They do not see the Sniper.

FADE TO BLACK.

FADE IN:

REDSTONE, RESHEEN.

INT. REDSTONE MANOR. REDSTONE – NIGHT

(Donald Redstone, Fabian Miller-Jones, The Redstone Brothers)

FABIAN MILLER-JONES is sat in the LOUNGE of REDSTONE MANOR along with DONALD REDSTONE in front of a warm fire crackling in front of them both, when they hear the first series of raps on the door. DONALD puts a hand up in the air.

DONALD REDSTONE

That’s quite alright, I’ll go.

DONALD stands from his seat and makes his way to the answer the door. (CAMERA FOLLOWS HIM FROM BEHIND).

Approaching the door there is a second rapping at the door. DONALD reaches out and opens it to three dark clothed men – THE REDSTONE BROTHERS.

OLIVER REDSTONE

Hello Father!

DONALD is suddenly surprised. Anxious. Happy. Cautious.

DONALD REDSTONE

Oliver! Cyril! Joseph!

OLIVER REDSTONE

May we come in and talk to you, Father?

DONALD REDSTONE

Erm…Yes, yes, of course, come in. This is your home, my Sons.

DONALD opens the door wide before ushering the three young boys into the LOBBY, and then, seeing they were already making their way to the LOUNGE, he closes the door and catches up with them in the LOUNGE.

FADE IN:

INT. REDSTONE MANOR. LOUNGE – NIGHT

(Donald Redstone, Fabian Miller-Jones, The Redstone Boys: Oliver Redstone, Cyril Redstone)

DONALD REDSTONE follows quickly behind the three REDSTONE BOYS. FABIAN is shocked to see them.

FABIAN MILLER-JONES

What is the meaning of this, Donald? Who are these young men?

DONALD is beside himself.

DONALD REDSTONE

These are my sons, Oliver, Cyril and Joseph. I sure never expected to see any of you again…As soon as I had heard you went to The Front Line, I was…!

DONALD almost freezes to the spot he is stood in. The three REDSTONE BOYS walk forward, and then stop by the side of a now scared FABIAN MILLER-JONES.

OLIVER REDSTONE

The night we left, we should have returned home to you, Father. But for this (points directly at FABIAN) man, Fabian Miller-Jones!

FABIAN is beginning to sweat.

FABIAN MILLER-JONES

Now hang on there, Big Brother. (turns to DONALD) They came to me with vengeance in their souls, what else could I have done? If they would have returned home that night…You may not be standing here now, Donald.

DONALD sits down on a chair.

DONALD REDSTONE

All of this time, and you were keeping that from me… (bellows loudly) FROM ME!

FABIAN MILLER-JONES

I…I…Surely…!

OLIVER REDSTONE

We were young men neither worthy nor strong enough for War, Mr. Miller-Jones. We were being played as Pawns in your all-so-mighty War alone…

DONALD REDSTONE

What the hell is he talking about, Fabian?

FABIAN breaks eye contact with OLIVER to cautiously turn to DONALD.

FABIAN MILLER-JONES

Let me explain. I can’t take Souls of Men who are not tainted in the blood of other men, but thanks to you, Donald, oh you played your part most wonderfully; the grieving Father who had nothing but love and affection for his sons. (laughs with a wide smile) That is when you weren’t beating them with the sticks and belts that hang on the walls of this house like trophies.

DONALD REDSTONE

Are you out of your mind? You’re speaking like a mad man!

FABIAN MILLER-JONES

Okay, have your own way then, maybe you’ll listen to your children?

OLIVER REDSTONE

He’s telling the truth, Father, he tricked us into taking the Ship that would take us to War – so we would have no other choice but to KILL! DIDN’T YOU FABIAN?

FABIAN has broken his caution, shrugs his fear and was now standing to his feet to face OLIVER.

FABIAN MILLER-JONES

You have no right being here!

OLIVER REDSTONE

You cheated us out of our lives!

FABIAN MILLER-JONES

I told you, Redstone was where you were set for, and then you all left on the Ship to War. So tell me, who’s tricking who here?

CYRIL REDSTONE

They told us you broke your deal with us, that you must be punished!

DONALD is now very confused.

DONALD REDSTONE

THEY! Who the hell are THEY?

FABIAN is beginning to feel uncomfortable.

OLIVER REDSTONE

The ones that Fabian and the others fear most, right, Fabian?

FABIAN MILLER-JONES

(tampers with his collar)

You’re bluffing! You’re lying!

JOSEPH REDSTONE

They said they’ll be here very shortly, to give you your punishment…personally!

FABIAN is unsettled in his standing posture. He thinks hard and fast – Then smiles mischievously.

FABIAN MILLER-JONES

(claps his hands together repeatedly, smiling as he does)

Very well played Master Oliver, I see now why you are the smartest and brightest of all The Redstone Brothers. Smart or not, however, you are forgetting one thing!

DONALD REDSTONE

A straight jacket, perhaps!

OLIVER REDSTONE

Let’s see. Son of evil, cheat, liar…!

FABIAN MILLER-JONES

Listen here Kid, if you believe that after almost two-thousand-years I would overlook anything in what I do, you are mistaken. I am The Devil, which means I know everything that my actions do.

OLIVER, CYRIL, JOSEPH and DONALD all look and stare at FABIAN – or rather what was behind him; a Majestic light that becomes almost blinding to everyone, except FABIAN and OLIVER REDSTONE.

FABIAN looks over to OLIVER during the moment that the brightened light is at its peak. Moments later CYRIL, JOSEPH and DONALD are blinded and hurry to get out of the room. The door slams shut behind them.

FABIAN MILLER-JONES

If I die here, you know what will happen, don’t you, Oliver?

OLIVER REDSTONE

Thanks to you, Fabian, everything that should have happened has happened!

FABIAN MILLER-JONES

I don’t understand!

OLIVER REDSTONE

Yes you do!

The bright light disappears within a blink of an eye.

Both FABIAN and OLIVER have vanished with the light.

Standing outside CYRIL and JOSEPH turn the handle and push open the door. They look around inside. Nothing – Empty.

CYRIL REDSTONE

Where did they go? Why did they take Oliver?

JOSEPH REDSTONE

Is it over?

CYRIL REDSTONE

I don’t know.

DONALD REDSTONE appears before them, his features changed to what can only be described as THE DEVIL. Both Brother’s jump with surprise.

DONALD REDSTONE

Boy’s, I think this is far from over!
